The Manchester United coach, Ruben Amorim, confirmed that Argentine Alejandro Garnacho will have to buy dinner for the entire team as a punishment for his decision to go to the locker room when he was substituted during the match against Ipswich Town in the Premier League. Garnacho had been replaced by defender Noussair Mazraoui in the 45th minute due to the expulsion of Patrick Dorgu. Despite his physical discomfort, Garnacho will be available for the next match against Fulham in the Round of 16 of the FA Cup.
Amorim revealed that Garnacho approached him the day after the match to accept the punishment of paying for dinner for his teammates. The coach mentioned that Garnacho left the bench at the end of the game to change clothes because he was wet. Although Amorim downplayed the incident, he pointed out that in a club as significant as Manchester United, image is crucial.
"In a big club like Manchester United, everything is important and perception is key. He will pay for dinner for the entire team and that's it," emphasized Amorim. Garnacho's availability for the next match is clear, although his presence in the starting lineup is not confirmed due to the injury sustained during the match against Ipswich Town.
