Semifinals of the Futsal Supercup 2025

The semifinals of the 2025 Futsal Supercup have been defined after a day full of surprises and the possibility of witnessing a superclassic that has been absent in the sport for a long time. The 25 de Mayo team, champion of Primera D and newly promoted to Primera C, was the big surprise by eliminating Barracas Central, the reigning champion of the Copa de Oro. With a double from Sebastián Bolentini in the first twenty minutes, the northern zone team managed to overcome Barracas, which scored through Bautista Germano, but could not avoid defeat.

In the next stage, the revelation team will face River Plate, champion of B, which in an exciting match defeated Estudiantil Porteño, champion of C, 4-3 in the second match of the day. Héctor Vatter shone by scoring three goals for the "Millonarios", while Germán Torres contributed with another goal. Despite the efforts of Hernán Clapcich, Ramiro Rojo and an own goal from Vidal, Estudiantil Porteño could not equalize the score.

In another surprise, América del Sud, winner of the Copa de Plata, eliminated 17 de Agosto, the last champion of Argentine futsal, with a score of 2-0. Goals from Guido Caunedo and Juan Rodríguez in the first half were enough to secure the victory.

On the other hand, Franja de Oro, champion of the Copa Argentina, faced Boca Juniors, the only team in the competition without titles from the previous year. Boca demonstrated its power by overcoming Franja de Oro 4-1, with goals from Nicolás Leguizamón, Lautaro Yáñez, and a double from Julián Gheneloff, while Rodolfo Goitea scored for Franja de Oro.

These victories in the quarterfinals have established the semifinals, where Boca Juniors will face América del Sud, with the possibility of a superclassic in the final. The 2025 Futsal Supercup is the eighth edition of the tournament, with Boca as the top winner with four titles, followed by San Lorenzo in 2020 and 2021, and Barracas Central in 2017. The semifinals will be played at the Roberto Pando stadium, while the final will take place a day later to crown the new champion of the tournament.
