The second leg match between Boca Juniors and Alianza Lima in the second phase of the Copa Libertadores de América was broadcasted by Telefe. Although the match did not yield good results for the Argentine team, it did for the television channel.
With an average rating of 16.4 points, the match became the most-watched of the day on local television. In addition, it secured second place in viewership, as La Previa de lo Terminó, which addressed Boca's early elimination from the continental tournament, reached 11.3 rating points.
The rating achieved by the Boca Juniors match is the highest of the year so far, surpassing the ratings of programs like Gran Hermano, which usually lead audience levels.
In the words of a Telefe representative: "We are very pleased with the audience results that the Boca match broadcast has provided us. This once again demonstrates the interest that football generates in our audience and encourages us to continue offering quality sports content."
