The goalkeeper of Alianza Lima, Guillermo Viscarra, stood out in the penalties by saving Alan Velasco's shot. Meanwhile, for Boca Juniors, Marcos Rojo, Williams Alarcón, Edinson Cavani, and Milton Giménez scored, while for Néstor Gorosito's team, Paolo Guerrero, Fernando Gaibor, Miguel Trauco, Erick Noriega, and Pablo Lavandeira scored.
In the first 90 minutes, Boca prevailed 2-1, with an own goal by Miguel Trauco in the 5th minute and a goal from Kevin Zenón in the 12th minute of the second half. The equalizer for Alianza Lima was scored by Hernán Barcos in the 19th minute of the first half.
With this elimination, the Argentine team will not participate in continental tournaments during the 2025 season. The team led by Fernando Gago will face Rosario Central in the next match of the Torneo Apertura.
