The Alpine Formula 1 team presented images of Argentine driver, Franco Colapinto, alongside a luxurious one-hundred-thousand-dollar watch gifted by the team. This exclusive watch is part of an agreement between Alpine and H. Moser & Cie in 2024 for the Swiss brand to be the official timekeeper in all disciplines in which the team participates.
The watch in question, called "Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine", is a unique piece as only 100 units of this model exist. Moreover, it is noted for its resistance to depths of up to 120 meters underwater. These specimens are available for sale on the official H. Moser & Cie website.
Franco Colapinto is in third place on the French team, behind Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan. The young Argentine driver had an outstanding performance last season competing in nine races with Williams Racing. Now, there is a possibility that if Doohan does not meet expectations, Colapinto could have the chance to showcase his talent on the Alpine team.
If circumstances favor him, Colapinto could debut with Alpine at the Miami Grand Prix on May 4, as Doohan's contract is only for five races and it has not yet been confirmed whether it will be extended until the end of the season. For now, the new Formula 1 season will start on March 16 in Melbourne, Australia.
