In a match between tennis players Gago and Belgian Zizou Bergs, an incident occurred when Bergs, after winning a game, injured his rival in the face.
According to eyewitnesses, Bergs accidentally hit Gago during a rally. The Argentine tennis player suffered a cut on his face that required immediate medical attention.
Bergs, visibly affected by what happened, apologized to Gago and expressed regret over the incident. Subsequently, the match continued normally, but Gago's injury created some tension on the court.
"It was an accident; I had no intention of hurting my opponent. I sincerely regret what happened and wish Gago a speedy recovery," Bergs stated at the end of the match.
