Matchday 3 of Liga Profesional Begins

The third matchday of the Liga Profesional opens with Barracas Central hosting Banfield, followed by San Martín facing Rosario Central and Lanús playing against Sarmiento. Top teams including River and Boca will also compete this weekend.


Matchday 3 of Liga Profesional Begins

The third date of the Apertura Tournament of the Professional League will start this Saturday with three matches scheduled. The first match will be between Barracas Central and Banfield, which will face off at 5 PM at the Julio Humberto Grondona stadium. Barracas will look to earn points against a Banfield that arrives with two consecutive victories, highlighting the performance of forward Tomás Nasif.

Later, at 7 PM, San Martín de San Juan will play against Rosario Central. The newly promoted team will have a tough challenge against Rosario Central, who has achieved a perfect score in the early rounds by defeating Lanús and Godoy Cruz de Mendoza. At 9 PM, Lanús will face Sarmiento de Junín at the Ciudad de Lanús – Néstor Díaz Pérez stadium, in a match where Lanús will seek to achieve their first victory in the tournament.

On Sunday, San Lorenzo will host River, Boca will measure against Huracán, Independiente will play against Gimnasia La Plata, and Vélez will visit Instituto. Newell's and Aldosivi, both without points in Zone A, will try to score for the first time in this competition. On Monday, Racing will visit Estudiantes de La Plata in an attractive matchup. Racing comes from a 4-0 victory over Belgrano, while Estudiantes drew 0-0 against Huracán.

The matchday will conclude on Tuesday with two matches: Godoy Cruz will play against Talleres de Córdoba at 7 PM, and Atlético Tucumán will face Deportivo Riestra at 9 PM. The complete schedule for the third date of the Apertura Tournament of the Professional League is as follows:
