Formula 1 and the company Mattel have announced a partnership to launch a collection of miniatures of F1 race cars under the Hot Wheels brand. Emily Prazer, the commercial director of F1, expressed her enthusiasm for seeing how the cars from the Hot Wheels Formula 1 collection reach shelves worldwide, allowing fans to experience the excitement of racing at home.
The collection will include 1:64 scale models of various single-seater cars, but the absence of Ferrari and Aston Martin cars was highlighted due to contractual reasons. This means that fans will not be able to acquire miniature versions of drivers like Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Fernando Alonso, and Lance Stroll in their respective cars.
The partnership between Mattel and Formula 1 will allow fans to enjoy replicas of the single-seaters in packs of five vehicles at a price of eight dollars per unit. Argentine driver Franco Colapinto will have his miniature version of the FW46 from Williams included in the Hot Wheels collection.
The collection is set to launch on November 15, 2025, but fans can already pre-order the Argentine driver's model through the Mattel Creations website. This partnership is expected to provide new ways to connect Formula 1 fans with the world of toy cars, according to Roberto Stanichi, executive vice president of Hot Wheels.
