San Lorenzo Aims for Victory Against Talleres

The San Lorenzo team will make its debut in the Professional Football League facing Talleres at the Pedro Bidegain stadium (Nuevo Gasómetro) this Saturday at 5 PM. With the intention of starting on the right foot and leaving behind the poor campaign of the previous year, they will seek a win in front of their fans.

In this first match, San Lorenzo will have to do without the Spanish Iker Muniain due to a muscle injury that will be evaluated this Friday to determine its severity. Coach Miguel Ángel Russo may opt for the same lineup he used in the friendlies of the Serie del Río de La Plata.

On the other hand, Talleres is expecting the recovery of their Chilean defender Matías Catalán, who suffered a knee injury last year and had to undergo surgery. Coach Alexander Medina will likely keep the same team that played against Racing de Córdoba in preseason.

The probable formations for the match are as follows:

San Lorenzo: Orlando Gill; Ezequiel Herrera, Jhohan Romaña, Daniel Herrera, Malcom Braida; Emanuel Cecchini, Elián Irala, Nicolás Tripicchio; Ezequiel Cerutti, Matías Reali, and Alexis Cuello. Coach: Miguel Ángel Russo.

Talleres: Guido Herrera; Gastón Benavídez, Augusto Schot, Juan Rodríguez, Miguel Navarro; Juan Portilla, Matías Galarza, Matías Galarza Fonda, Sebastián Palacios; Nahuel Bustos and Bruno Barticciotto. Coach: Alexander Medina.

The match will be officiated by Juan Pafundi, with Franco Acita as the VAR, and will be broadcasted by TNT Sports. Both teams will seek a good result in this start of the 2025 Professional League.
