River Plate tops the list of clubs with the most members in Argentina, boasting 351,487 fans. Boca Juniors follows closely with 323,586 members. This ranking reflects the passion of Argentine football fans.


River Plate Leads in Argentina's Membership Ranking

The Argentine Football Association has revealed the list of clubs with the most members in the country. At the top is River Plate, the leading team in terms of associated fans. The "Millonarios" have a total of 351,487 members in the year 2024.

In second place is their traditional rival, Boca Juniors, with 323,586 members, which represents a difference of 27,901 fewer than River Plate. Behind them, in third place, is Independiente with 146,570 members.

Surprisingly, in fourth place, neither Racing nor San Lorenzo are listed, but Rosario Central, with a total of 96,297 members. Following Rosario Central are San Lorenzo with 89,717 members and Racing with 86,289, a difference of 60,281 fewer members than their lifelong rival.

In addition to those mentioned, within the top ten clubs with the most members are Newell's, Talleres, Vélez, and Belgrano from Córdoba. The distribution by the number of members is as follows: Newell's (83,040), Talleres (74,262), Vélez (72,889), and Belgrano (65,139).

Other clubs have also been listed in this ranking, such as Estudiantes, Huracán, Gimnasia, Lanús, Unión, Independiente Rivadavia, Argentinos Juniors, Platense, Godoy Cruz, Sarmiento, Defensa y Justicia, Central Córdoba, and Deportivo Riestra. In this sense, the significant presence of different teams in the Argentine football scene in terms of social base is highlighted.
