The IFFHS updated the soccer club ranking, highlighting Argentine teams such as River, Racing, and Boca in their new positions. Botafogo leads among South Americans after winning the 2024 Copa Libertadores.

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has published its most recent monthly ranking of clubs from around the world, showing significant changes for teams like River Plate, Racing Club, and Boca Juniors compared to the year 2024. The top positions in the global list are occupied by European teams, such as Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, and Atalanta.

Among the representatives of CONMEBOL, the first clubs to appear are the Brazilian Botafogo, Flamengo, and Atlético Mineiro, followed by River Plate in twenty-second place, dropping one position from the last update of the ranking and accumulating 256 points during this period.

On the other hand, Racing Club is the second-best positioned Argentine team, ranking thirty-first, dropping four positions after becoming the champion of the Copa Sudamericana, with a total of 236 points. Boca Juniors is in fifty-eighth place with 188 points, being the only Argentine team that improved its position in the ranking by rising six places.
