The Argentine Football Association has established that the closing of the Registration and Transfers Record for the 2025 LPF APERTURA TOURNAMENT will take place on Wednesday, January 22 at 8:00 PM. According to information from TyC Sports, the AFA Executive Committee will meet this Tuesday to define the end date of the transfer period in Argentine football.
There is a possibility that a team selling a player on January 22 may have the opportunity to add a spot to replace that player until March 12, provided that the sold or loaned player has participated in at least 25% of the official matches of First or Reserve in 2024.
The proposed calendar for the 2025 Professional League transfer market would be as follows: Opening of the registration for signings on January 15, closing of the registration for signings on January 30, and transfer window abroad from January 23 to March 12.
The Argentine Football Association is considering the possibility of extending the transfer period to allow clubs to acquire players for one more week. The closing date of the transfer market, which was originally brought forward to January 22 (previously February 16), could now be postponed to January 30 as the deadline.
