Bullrich Comments on Cristina Kirchner's Conviction

The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, made statements this week regarding Cristina Kirchner's conviction in the Vialidad case. In an interview on Radio Rivadavia, Bullrich mentioned that 'those who do it, pay for it' and emphasized that 'a person who has a conviction loses all political benefits.' She also highlighted the importance of equality before the law and the need for technical evidence in judicial processes.

Regarding De la Rúa's acquittal by the Supreme Court, the minister pointed out the criticism of the judicial process that the former president underwent and compared his case with that of Cristina Kirchner. Bullrich noted that the former president was convicted for being 'the one who controlled when and how the ramps and international prices rose for the companies.' Additionally, she mentioned progress in negotiations with aviation unions and the implementation of measures to establish order in the labor sector.

On the combative unions, the minister indicated that some privileges considered historical benefits were reduced and stressed the need to maintain public order in the country. She also referenced the monopolistic company Intercargo and the importance of its role in the national context. Regarding Cristina Kirchner's situation, Bullrich mentioned that it is a particular case given her status as a widow and that the measures taken are not a revenge but a serious response to problematic situations.

Finally, the minister announced the implementation of a total signal inhibition system in the most populated prisons in the country, such as Ezeiza and Marcos Paz. Bullrich refrained from commenting on the Menem case, stating that it was not within her jurisdiction, but highlighted that the former president had not completed his judicial instances, unlike other cases.
