A new group called La Carlos Menem, consisting of young activists from LLA to support Javier Milei's management and highlight the figure and governments of Menem, made its official debut this Monday, after being announced a few weeks ago. One of the founders is Fidel Kohan, grandson of the former official, who was also one of the speakers at the inauguration event. Kohan stated: "After years of a leftist socialist trend, we come to vindicate an Argentine hero who knew how to introduce Argentina to the world, who led a country that was doing things right."
Zulemita, daughter of the late former president Menem, was present at the event and, with her voice choked with emotion, expressed gratitude that her father's figure serves as inspiration for those wishing to enter politics in order to recover the past splendor of the country. The event was also attended by Zulemita's partner, former River Plate president Rodolfo D'Onofrio.
The ceremony took place in a crowded hall of a hotel located at the intersection of Avenida 9 de Julio and Córdoba, and had the presence of figures from Menemism such as Alberto Kohan, as well as from La Libertad Avanza, including provincial senator Sebastián Pareja, who was one of the speakers at the event and is considered the "godfather" of La Carlos Menem. Another notable attendee was "Alfa," a former participant of Gran Hermano, accompanying Kohan.
At the event, there was speculation about the presence of the General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and two members of the Menem family who are part of La Libertad Avanza, Martín and Eduardo "Lule," who ultimately did not attend. However, national senator Juan Carlos Pagotto, national deputies from LLA Lorena Villaverde and Guillermo Montenegro, city legislator María del Pilar Ramírez, and analyst Jorge Castro were present.
At the end of the event, a guest questioned the media figure "Alfa" about his presence, to which he responded by mentioning his relationship with Alberto Kohan.
