An entrepreneur from Corrientes province suffered a millionaire robbery at his home. On Saturday, at the beginning of the long Carnival weekend, two criminals broke into his home in the city of Paso de la Patria, Corrientes, and stole around $25 million. The businessman's son managed to see the robbers, but when he tried to stop them, he was threatened with a firearm. Immediately, the authorities were notified, and large-scale operations were launched to apprehend the suspects. According to the investigation, the two suspects were caught on security cameras of the house as well as on public streets, which allowed them to be identified. Based on the investigation, two raids were carried out in the capital of Corrientes, where one of the suspects was arrested. The detained suspect, surnamed Azcona, did not act alone. His accomplice is believed to be Juan "Guanaco" Encinas, a known criminal in the province who escaped from the San Cayetano prison last November. During the operation, a significant amount of money and the clothes that may have been used during the criminal act were seized from the house.
