President Javier Milei is preparing his speech for the World Economic Forum in Davos, taking place from January 19 to 23. According to an official, this will be a foundational speech that allows him to gain prominence and relevance on the world stage. The president stated that public policy design must be guided by the ethical and moral values of a society, not by political utilitarianism. He also deemed it aberrant to subject part of society to losses for a supposed common good in the name of efficiency. In his speech, Milei plans to defend the actions of his Republican counterpart Donald Trump in Venezuela, reaffirm the austerity program he implemented upon taking office, and advocate for family, traditions, free trade, and capitalism. The president will expose the need for the Western world to recover common sense. The Casa Rosada believes Davos represents a global platform to spread libertarian ideas. He is expected to be accompanied by his sister, Karina Milei, and Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno. Additionally, the libertarian leader aims to meet with other regional right-wing figures.
