The Union for the Homeland deputy Santiago Cafiero compared Javier Milei's government with the previous administration of Alberto Fernández and highlighted that Milei has greater control over politics and the public agenda. According to Cafiero, Milei builds more loyalties and has a backed presidential authority, as he does not face internal disavowals as was the case in the previous government.
In contrast to his criticism of the "financial and foreign neoliberalism" of Milei's government, Cafiero praised the communication and political strategy of the current president. He highlighted Milei's ability to connect with the public debate and manage the media in his favor, thus effectively guiding his electorate.
Santiago Cafiero recalled the lack of internal support that the previous government suffered compared to the party loyalty he observes in La Libertad Avanza, Milei's party. He emphasized that unlike Alberto Fernández, Milei does not face internal questioning and has significant media backing.
In this regard, Cafiero pointed out that Milei has a solid spokesperson and a chorus of supporters who back his management, which contrasts with the situation of the previous government, where the lack of internal support created difficulties in implementing policies and defending measures before public opinion.
