Argentina's President Javier Milei in Washington for Key Meetings

Argentine President Javier Milei arrived this morning at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland with a delegation that includes Chancellor Gerardo Werthein to carry out an intense agenda in Washington. This visit includes key meetings and important activities for the foreign and economic policies of the libertarian government.

The first scheduled activity is his meeting with the director of the Efficiency Department of Donald Trump, being this the fourth meeting between them. He will then meet with Ajay Banga, president of the World Bank, to discuss issues related to international financing and possible cooperation projects.

As part of his agenda, Milei will participate in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), one of the most relevant events for global conservatism. It is expected that the Argentine president will have an intervention at this event and share the stage with former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Regarding the proposal for a joint Free Trade Agreement and the consolidation of the "League of Conservative Nations," an alliance that would include the United States, Argentina, Israel, and Italy, the president will seek to advance his plan. Despite Donald Trump's protectionist measures, Milei will not make a formal request for exceptions in favor of Argentina.

The return of the presidential delegation to Buenos Aires is scheduled for Saturday, February 22 in the evening. The special flight, which transported Milei and his team, will arrive in the Argentine capital after completing a busy agenda of activities and political and economic meetings in the United States.
