After the scandal related to the cryptocurrency $LIBRA, President Javier Milei decided to post again on his Instagram account. After deleting a post in which he promoted the KIP Protocol project, Milei resurfaced in his stories with a post about a membership event of La Libertad Avanza (LLA). In this post, he shared a screenshot of an article from La Derecha Diario informing about an event led by Karina Milei and Luis "Toto" Caputo in Plaza Seeber in Palermo, where a crowd formally joined the libertarian party.
Milei's return to social media took place at a time when an investigation he himself requested from the Anti-Corruption Office (OA) and the creation of the Research Task Unit (UTI) are underway to examine the alleged irregularities in the launch of $LIBRA. So far, the President has not made direct comments about the new allegations, including the accusation from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, who revealed that people close to Milei allegedly requested bribes to facilitate a meeting with him.
More details about the progress of the investigation are expected to be released in the coming hours, and the Government is likely to provide an official response through a television interview.
