Judicial Employee Charged with Fraud in Río Negro

A court employee faces charges of fraud and the use of a false document after falsifying a medical certificate to obtain 10 additional days of leave. The woman, whose case was brought by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Río Negro, was absent from work between December 5 and 26 of the previous year, causing harm to the public administration of the province.

According to the accusation, the employee altered a medical certificate by adding the number 1 before 7, which allowed her to improperly extend her leave. The falsified document was sent through official channels of the institution to justify her absence from work, and was subsequently discovered.

At the hearing, the prosecutor presented evidence confirming the manipulation of the certificate, including technical analyses that retrieved a chat between the accused and personnel from the Judiciary. Additionally, reports from the accounting area of the Public Prosecutor's Office detailing the harm caused and statements from the doctor who issued the certificate, as well as from the Human Resources departments involved in the management of the leave, were included.

The public defense for the accused did not challenge the charges, considering that they met legal requirements. The judge accepted the charges of using a false certificate and fraud against the public administration, determining that the accused was the author of these crimes. The woman exercised her right to testify during the hearing, now facing the legal consequences of her actions.
