The terrorist group Hamas today released Iair Horn, an Argentine who was kidnapped in October 2023. Along with Horn, Alexander Trufanov, of Russian-Israeli nationality, and Sagui Dekel-Chen, of American descent, were also freed. These hostages were handed over to the Red Cross as part of a prisoner exchange deal for Palestinian prisoners, marking the sixth swap under the truce agreed upon with Israel.

After nearly 500 days in captivity, Iair Horn was released and delivered to the International Red Cross at 5:12 AM in Argentina. In Horn's words at the moment of his release: "It has been an extremely difficult period, but I am grateful to regain my freedom. My greatest wish is for all hostages in the conflict to be released and for us to move towards peace in the region."
