Debate in the Chamber of Deputies on the suspension of PASO

In the recent session of the Chamber of Deputies, the ruling party and sectors of the opposition achieved the necessary quorum to address various legislative projects. One of the central topics to be discussed was the suspension of the PASO for this year's legislative elections. With the presence of 129 legislators, the session began and is expected to last for several hours.

Deputy Esteban Paulón vigorously questioned a colleague for accusations linking the mobilization to the defense of pedophilia. In his speech, Paulón rejected these claims and emphasized that his struggle is not driven by party interests, but by the defense of the rights and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition to the discussion on the suspension of the PASO, other projects such as the Absence Trial and the Recidivism Law were put on the table. Paulón, noted for his firm stance on issues of diversity and human rights, criticized the fake news that circulated concerning the latest Anti-fascist and Anti-racist Pride March, denying any connection to pedophilia.

The legislator also demanded explanations from another deputy and a media outlet for spreading falsehoods and sowing confusion in society. His intervention was marked by the defense of freedom and inclusion, rejecting attempts to make the LGBTQ+ community invisible. Paulón concluded his participation by reaffirming his identity and commitment to equality, beyond any political affiliation.
