Milei Calls WHO 'Nefarious' and Exit Argentina

President Javier Milei expressed harsh criticism towards the World Health Organization (WHO), which he called "nefarious" and blamed for what he termed as "caveman quarantine." According to Milei, the WHO played a decisive role in what he considers "the largest social control experiment in history" during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a post made on social media X, the president highlighted the government's decision to leave the WHO, a measure that resembles the one previously adopted by the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Milei pointed out that Argentina's exit is a rejection of an organization he deems harmful, involved in policies he characterizes as violations of human rights.

"We will never forget that they were the ideologues of the caveman quarantine which, according to the Rome Statute of 1998 (Article 7.k), committed, in complicity with all the states that followed their directives, one of the most outrageous crimes against humanity in history," stated President Milei.

Milei's criticism adds to the official decision of Argentina to leave the WHO, a stance supported by a presidential statement arguing that the organization failed to promote measures such as "eternal quarantines without scientific backing." The effectiveness of WHO guidelines is questioned, accusing the entity of being more governed by political interests than by science.

The statement emphasizes the existence of supranational organizations that do not meet their original objectives, deviating towards international political agendas and seeking to impose themselves above the sovereignty of member countries. In this regard, Milei stated: "Today the evidence indicates that the WHO's prescriptions do not work because they are the result of political influence, not based on science."
