Man Who Supplied Cocaine to His Children Released in Argentina

Buenos Aires, March 5 (NA) – The man accused of supplying cocaine to his six children in the Buenos Aires district of Balcarce was released after the children testified in Cámara Gesell. Investigation sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the implicated man regained his freedom, although he is prohibited from approaching his descendants until the case is closed. “It is still being investigated how the drug got into the children's blood,” sources close to the case explained and added that the analysis is with the medical body, where expert advice is provided. In turn, it is being assessed whether it was a willful, negligent, or intentional act, which is why the parent “can undergo the process” outside of prison. In this regard, the sources consulted explained that the victims testified in Cámara Gesell but “did not provide data” that would allow the implicated man to be kept detained. The six siblings were discharged after remaining hospitalized at the end of January in a zonal hospital, and the case is filed as “aggravated drug supply due to the victims being minors,” aggravated by the family bond.
