His wife, Majo Favarón, defends him against media criticism, highlighting the discrepancies in reports. The case raises questions about safety regulations and public perception in cosmetic surgery.

Controversy Surrounds Plastic Surgeon Anibal Lotocki

The aesthetic surgeon Aníbal Lotocki was sentenced to four years in prison and special disqualification for simple homicide with eventual intent, due to the serious consequences suffered by some of his patients. His wife, Majo Favarón, defended her husband arguing that the media and social condemnation against him was fueled by the media.

The report mentions that Lotocki used polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) in small quantities, complying with international safety standards. However, it could not be determined what material he mixed on the day one of his patients, Cristian Zárate, died.

The prosecution determined that Zárate's death was a consequence of the surgeon's lack of minimum care. Despite the initial approval of ANMAT for the use of PMMA in aesthetic procedures, Lotocki was pointed out for his irresponsible intervention on patients.

Lotocki's defense pointed to the sensationalism of the media in referring to this case, seeking to capture an audience with shocking headlines that harmed his reputation. After the death of Silvina Luna, Lotocki's sentence was doubled under the accusation of serious injuries.

Lotocki's wife, Majo Favarón, lamented the ignorance of people on social media regarding the issue, defending her husband's actions based on concrete data rather than unsubstantiated opinions.
