Retirees are going through difficult times without the necessary benefits from their health insurance. The Association of State Workers (ATE) has organized a mobilization to denounce this situation and stop the depletion of PAMI. The protest will take place at the central headquarters of the agency, located at Corrientes 655.

The General Secretary of ATE, Rodolfo Aguiar, has emphasized the concerning situation of PAMI members, mentioning that more than 5 million retirees are not receiving the medical benefits they are entitled to. Serious irregularities have been found that could indicate acts of corruption.

Aguiar stated that despite being prohibited, improper charges are being made to PAMI beneficiaries for various concepts, reaching exorbitant sums. The abandonment of audits for private providers has been pointed out, allowing questionable practices such as overcharging by specialists and under-provisioning in fundamental areas like primary care and dentistry.

In summary, the ATE union warns about the intention to close the retirees' health insurance and highlights the urgent need to put an end to these practices that harm millions of people who depend on PAMI for access to necessary medical care.
