Coty Romero Opens Up About Her Struggle with Mental Health

Reality star Coty Romero revealed that on several occasions she considered the idea of abandoning public exposure and returning to her hometown, but she feels that life has brought her back to where she belongs. She commented: "Yes, obviously I went through a tough time because I think it was also a culmination of things. I have some people who definitely write horrible things to me and I just laugh. They don’t affect me at all, so I took something good from this, and that is that I have grown stronger over time because those things no longer affect me, thank God."

Additionally, Coty mentioned that she is about to start treatment for anxiety: "Sometimes I have trouble sleeping, not for anything in particular, but it's something super healthy, it should not be more taboo." The Correntinian has been open about her mental health, discussing her experiences and struggles on various occasions. After being noticed by her followers on social media self-harming, she decided to use that experience to raise awareness about online hate.

In her own words: "I live it very naturally and I would love for that to become increasingly normal among many people because obviously I am willing to." Coty confessed that during her darkest phase, during her participation in Bailando, she faced difficult moments as she dealt with personal problems while maintaining a public image of happiness.

Before entering Gran Hermano, the young woman had lost the will to live, despite fulfilling a dream. She acknowledged that her mind was playing tricks on her, preventing her from truly enjoying what she longed for. After receiving treatment and help, Coty states that negative comments no longer affect her as they used to, although she had to do some prior work to achieve this.

She recalled that during her time on the reality show, she had to deal with a toxic relationship and mental health issues caused by sudden media exposure. Coty emphasized that she had to close Twitter and seek professional help to get through that complicated phase. Despite the challenges, the influencer remains hopeful in her healing process, highlighting the importance of openly addressing mental health.
