Emily Ceco Denounces Violence from Ex-Fiance Santiago Martínez

Emily Ceco was invited to the show "The Morning Army" to share the difficult situation she experienced with Santiago Martínez, her ex-partner whom she met on the reality show "Love is Blind." The couple had plans to marry soon in the Church, however, Emily decided to report Santiago for gender violence after a traumatic episode that led her to escape from her own home.

The story of Emily and Santiago began when both signed up for "Love is Blind" in search of love and job opportunities. Despite information emerging that Santiago may have been influenced by a taxi driver to show interest in Emily, the couple fell in love, traveled together to Tulum as part of the show, and lived together in an apartment provided by the production. During this time, there were conflicts between them, and Santiago admitted to having been "toxic" in previous relationships due to jealousy.

After civilly marrying and celebrating their union on the Netflix show, Emily and Santiago planned to marry in the Church, but everything was halted after Emily experienced an episode of gender violence following her bachelorette party. Currently, Emily lives with her parents, with a panic button and a restraining order that prevents Santiago from coming near her.

Despite the difficulties, the couple had nurtured plans to have children together and build a future. While some participants of "Love is Blind" managed to form solid couples, Emily and Santiago were among the first to get engaged. In the midst of everything, Santiago told Emily: "I dreamed of your name" during the blind dates on the reality show.
