The National Institute of Social Services for Retirees and Pensioners (PAMI) and the National Disability Agency (ANDIS) will begin an audit process covering more than a million cases of Non-Contributory Pensions for Labor Disability (PNCIL) starting in February. The goal of this audit is to ensure that the pensions granted comply with the established legal criteria.
The audit will be conducted in stages, with special attention paid to the most recent pensions granted during the administration of President Alberto Fernández. In the first stage, notification letters will be sent to beneficiaries with scheduled appointments to present the required documentation to a PAMI doctor.
The audit process will involve the collaboration of the Ministry of Health and will be carried out progressively and in phases. This will include interviews and checks conducted by PAMI doctors to ensure compliance with the established criteria. Subsequently, the National Disability Agency will analyze the documentation of each beneficiary.
PAMI emphasizes that the purpose of the audit is to ensure the transparency of the system and to ensure that pensions are only granted to those who truly meet the established requirements. The entire process will be supervised by the Ministry of Health, aiming to manage public resources efficiently and ensure they reach those who truly need them.
It is expected that during the first days of February, beneficiaries will begin to receive the notification letters to initiate the audit process. Once completed, rulings and resolutions will be issued to determine the continuity of the benefit for each case, as appropriate.
