Buenos Aires, December 3 (NA) — A man was found murdered in the Parana River, and authorities confirmed he showed signs of violence, which led to an investigation to find out who the author of the crime is.
The discovery occurred this Tuesday in the Camino Costero area, in Bajada Grande, Entre Rios, when a fisherman spotted a body floating in the Parana River. He immediately notified 911, and an operation was launched.
Following initial inquiries and analysis at the scene, it was confirmed that the victim had "visible signs of violence," so the cooperation of the Homicide Division was requested.
Police Commissioner Horacio Blason, Director of Investigations and Criminal Intelligence, spoke with Elonce media and stated that, although the cause of death is not yet known, the victim had "wounds compatible with several stab wounds to the chest area."
"The doctor confirms that the death could be due to violent causes, but at this time, it cannot be confirmed how he died," he specified.
Regarding the autopsy, it was confirmed hours later that the body was taken to the Judicial Morgue to carry out the corresponding necropsy, learned the Argentine News Agency.
Although the victim's identity has not yet been released, Blason hinted that several neighbors approached the scene to give details about who it might be: "We would be in a position to know who the person is, and it would be a man between 30 and 40 years old" and added that he would also "be in a street situation".
