Фестиваль Федерико Гарсиа Лорка: Музыкант enters its third day on Sunday, November 23rd at 18:00 with a program dedicated to the young Lorca the pianist and his deep admiration for Beethoven and Chopin. The event will be held at FEDESPA (Bernardo de Irigoyen 672, CABA), with tickets available from $20,000 through Passline or by bank transfer to the alias “festivallorca”. The day will focus on two essential works of the Romantic repertoire: Beethoven's Sonata No. 23 in F minor, known as Appassionata, performed by Spanish pianist Raúl Canosa, and the Sonata No. 9 in A major, Kreutzer, featuring violinist Luis Roggero. This proposal is part of the first festival that fully addresses the musical side of the Spanish poet and playwright, a creator fascinated by flamenco, a collector of popular songs, and a musician with solid training. With the participation of singers from the Teatro Colón, soloists from the National Symphony Orchestra, flamenco artists, and the Cazadores del Arte Perdido company, the cycle—created by Canosa—consolidates itself as one of the most original proposals of the season. Its spirit aims to rescue the lesser-known Lorca: the piano student at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid, the friend of Manuel de Falla, and the young man who saw music as a form of freedom. Sponsored by the Embassy of Spain in Argentina, AECID, and CCEBA, the festival recovers the musical legacy of the author of Blood Wedding and Yerma, whose collection Spanish Popular Songs (1931) was a milestone in the intersection of tradition and modernity. The cycle also evokes Lorca's deep connection with Argentina, where he lived one of the most intense stages of his artistic life during his 1933 stay, invited by Margarita Xirgu. The programming will continue on Sunday, November 30th with the closing performance by the Amadeus Orchestra.
