The dispute between the rock band La Renga and President Javier Milei has escalated to the stage, with the band performing a direct and provocative mockery in response to the constant use the president has made of their song 'Panic Show' in his campaign events. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, the controversy intensified a few days ago when bassist Tete Iglesias stated that the group does not support the political use of its music. 'The song is ours, he stole it, just like he's stealing the whole country,' he said. The most explicit response from La Renga occurred during the Harley Davidson's Day festival in Luján. As the band performed their popular hit 'Panic Show', a short man dressed as Javier Milei (with a mask imitating the president's face) appeared on stage. The man, who imitated the politician's gestures, jumped and danced along with the lead singer, Chizzo, creating a moment of mockery that quickly went viral. This act was interpreted as a firm rejection with dark humor from La Renga regarding the use of their anthem, popularized by the phrase 'I am the lion...', which Milei has adopted as a motto.
