Today in the city of Ponce, a man was rescued from the waters of the Riachuelo by firefighters from the City. The incident occurred at the intersection of 27 de Febrero and the Cámpara highway, in the port neighborhood of Villa Soldati, after the driver fell into the water with his car, a Chevrolet Astra, due to a bad maneuver.
The man managed to exit the vehicle before it sank and received help from the SAME personnel. According to his testimony, he lost control of the car while trying to avoid a motorcycle that crossed his path, entering a state of shock. He could not confirm if there were more people in the car, which led the firefighters to conduct a thorough inspection to verify the situation.
After the rescue operations in the water and on land, no other affected individuals were found. The Chevrolet Astra was seized by the Argentine Naval Prefecture, an entity that also participated in the operation, in collaboration with the UFLA Sur headed by Dr. [person's name].
