The summer of 2025 was a challenging season for tourism in various Argentine provinces. Despite facing different challenges, such as the low presence of international tourists, many regions managed to maintain moderate and diverse tourism activity.
During the summer, Catamarca, Córdoba, Chaco, and other provinces offered a varied agenda of cultural and recreational events that attracted tourists, both national and international. Events such as music festivals, craft fairs, and gastronomic meetings highlighted the cultural identity of each region, generating interesting movement in the local economy.
Throughout the season, various key tourist destinations, such as Cafayate and the capital of Salta, maintained high levels of hotel occupancy, reaching even 85% in some cases. These places offered visitors the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking and tours of historical sites, which attracted a large number of tourists.
In destinations like Realicó, located at the intersection of important national routes, the traffic of road tourism stood out, positively impacting local hotel occupancy. Thus, throughout the summer season, various provinces such as Mendoza, San Luis, Entre Ríos, and others offered festivals, cultural events, and recreational proposals that were attractive to visitors.
Despite certain economic challenges and competition with international destinations, many provinces managed to maintain a positive balance during the summer of 2025. Through a diverse offering of cultural, sports, and gastronomic activities, these regions were able to attract tourists and boost the local economy.
