Banks will close for Carnival in Argentina

The calendar of bank holidays applies to the entire territory of the Argentine Republic. In 2025, March 3 and 4 are holidays for Carnival, so banks will remain closed on those days along with the weekend of March 1 and 2. These holidays are national and unmovable, so there will be no work activity or front desk service in any bank branch in the country.

During the Carnival holidays, banking institutions will be closed on Monday and Tuesday of the first week of March; however, ATMs and bank websites will function normally. To withdraw cash, options for withdrawal at pharmacies, supermarkets, or gas stations can be used, with a daily withdrawal limit on these alternatives.

Regarding the holiday calendar for 2025, the Government has confirmed that all holidays for the year will be as follows: Carnival on March 3 and 4, March 24 National Day of Memory for Truth and Justice, April 2 Veteran's Day and the Fallen in the Malvinas War, among other holidays throughout the year.

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic has informed that during the Carnival holidays, financial institutions will not provide services or will do so in a reduced manner, so it is important to take these dates into account for banking operations in advance.
