72nd Condor de Plata Awards Celebrate Argentine Cinema

The 72nd Condor de Plata Awards, the most prestigious awards in Argentine cinema, recognized outstanding films and series. The ceremony will take place on March 10th at Parque de la Innovación, featuring key winners like 'El Jockey' and 'Cromañón'.

The Association of Cinematographic Critics of Argentina (ACCA) announced the winners of the 72nd edition of the Condor de Plata Awards, highlighting the best of Argentine cinema and series. Since its inception, the awards have provided the most prestigious and continuous recognition in the history of Argentine audiovisual, emphasizing its commitment to the cultural industry of the country.

In the realm of cinema, productions released in commercial theaters, independent cinemas, and streaming platforms between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024, were awarded. In the series category, selections included those exhibited between September 15, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

The awards ceremony will take place on March 10 at 7 PM at the Innovation Park. Among the films recognized in this edition, "El Jockey" by Luis Ortega received seven awards, followed by "Blondi" by Dolores Fonzi and "Puan" by María Alché and Benjamín Naishtat, both with three awards. "Mejor quemarse" and the second season of "Iosi, el espía arrepentido" each won one award.

In the category of best original song for film or series, 'Si no es con vos' from the film "Campamento con mamá," composed by Natalia Oreiro and Ale Sergi, and performed by Natalia Oreiro, was recognized.

Founded in 1942, the ACCA, composed of 80 members, has played a fundamental role in the promotion and support of Argentine audiovisual. Among the awarded films are "Trenque Lauquen" by Laura Citarella; "Cuando acecha la maldad" by Demián Rugna; "El juicio" by Ulises de la Orden; and "El viento que arrasa" by Paula Hernández, each with two statuettes, in addition to other recognized productions.

In the realm of series, "Cromaño" stood out with eight awards, "Coppola, el representante" with five, "Envidiosa" with four, and "Argentina 78" and "Cris Miró (Ella)" with two awards respectively.
