The published report revealed that out of the six sectors analyzed, only two showed an improvement in their figures compared to the previous year. Additionally, an increase in the use of installed capacity was highlighted, rising from 60.6% in September to 62.3% in October.

Regarding the monthly comparison, a 4% growth was observed in the seasonally adjusted measurement, reaching the highest production level in the last 11 months. Despite this increase, the industry has accumulated a decline of 14.5% in the first ten months of the year compared to the same period in 2023.

In the current context, it is emphasized that the SME sector is one of the most affected, having experienced a year-on-year decrease of 6.5% in October. These figures reflect an economy that continues to be in recession with still weak signs of recovery.

The mentioned figures are based on the Industrial Production Index for SMEs (IPIP) prepared by the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME), which was fueled by the participation of 420 SMEs nationwide. In this regard, the report indicates a challenging outlook for the industrial sector in the current economic context.
