CyberMonday 2024 in Argentina saw historic sales of over 493 billion pesos, a 213% increase from last year, highlighting significant growth in categories like Supermarket, Technology, and Fashion.

CyberMonday closed with a record sales level, with notable growth in the supermarket, technology, and fashion categories, according to reports from participating companies in the event organized by the Argentine Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CACE). Mercado Libre highlighted that more than 7 million products were sold on its platform during CyberMonday 2024, representing a 34% increase compared to the previous year and a 23% growth relative to Hot Sale 2024.

Among the categories that had the highest growth in units sold compared to CyberMonday 2023 are Supermarket, with a 53% increase; Health & Sports, which grew more than 43%; Technology and Appliances, with a 34% increase; and Fashion & Beauty, which showed a 32% rise.

Data from the unicorn e-commerce platform Tiendanube revealed that total revenue reached 35.073 billion pesos, an increase of 232% compared to the previous CyberMonday. The average ticket per sale was $82,834, with a total of 1,580,000 products sold, averaging 4 units per order. Franco Radavero, country manager of Tiendanube Argentina, noted a 42% increase in transactions compared to the 2023 edition.

The most used payment method was credit cards, accounting for 71% of sales made that way. Furthermore, the event reflected a reactivation of consumption on the platform and a growth trend that has consolidated throughout the year, especially in the third quarter, where Mercado Libre recorded record sales.

Regarding financing methods, the majority of payments were made in a single installment (53%), followed by three installments (23%), six installments (17%), nine installments (4%), and twelve installments (3%). 55% of purchases were made in installments.

The Argentine Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CACE) reported that CyberMonday 2024 generated sales of more than 493 billion pesos, representing a 213% increase compared to the previous year's event. Approximately 114 million pesos were made per minute during the event, with 5.5 million purchase orders recorded, 34% more than in the previous edition.

Andrés Zaied, president of the Chamber, expressed that the achievements this year have been surprising for the majority of the more than 1,000 participating companies. The categories with the highest revenue were: Home, Furniture, and Garden, followed by Computing. The most used payment methods were credit card (71%), bank transfer (14%), among other options.
