Argentina's Country Risk Tops 600 Points

At the beginning of the second week of March, Argentina's country risk returned to the 600-point zone amid market tensions due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. Prior to market opening, the JP Morgan indicator jumped to 603 basis points due to a fall in bond prices on Wall Street, but at the start of trading, the increase was trimmed to 593 basis points. In this way, the country risk advances 18 points compared to last Friday's close, when it was at 575, which implies an increase of 3.13%. Argentine bonds fall by up to 1.3% in Wall Street's premarket, following the trend of global markets amid significant selling in the international fixed income market, following the escalation of the confrontation between the United States, Israel, and Iran in the Middle East. The sharpest declines are seen in the long-end of the curve, particularly in bonds maturing in 2041 and 2046.
