In January, a typical family in Argentina needed $2,119,246 to cover all their expenses, according to a study conducted by the Consumer Education Services and Advice Center (CESyAC). This figure includes food, services, housing rent, maintenance of an old car, prepaid medicine, private school for two children, and club membership.

Of the total amount, 71% ($1,509,900) was allocated for services, while the remaining 29% ($609,346) was used to purchase consumer goods in supermarkets and stores. Compared to December 2024, the price variation in January was 3.65% for the middle class, with a year-on-year variation of 123.69%.

This data aligns with the monthly inflation reported by the City Statistics Institute, which recorded a 3.1% increase in January. In summary, costs for families have experienced a significant increase compared to the previous year.
