The Ministry of Finance awarded a total of $5.204 trillion in the debt auction today, after receiving bids totaling $5.724 trillion. In parallel, in the conversion auction, an effective value equivalent to $0.468 trillion was awarded, representing a participation of 6.78%. The news was confirmed by the Secretary of Finance, Pablo Quirno.
According to the report, these results allow the Ministry of Economy to cover approximately 79% of the maturities it must face this week. Most of the awarded amount, almost half, corresponded to a short-term fixed rate note (Lecap) maturing in March.
Regarding the effective monthly rate (TEM) validated for this instrument, it was set at 2.53%, thus exceeding the expected inflation for the first quarter.
