Changes in ANSES Pension Payments

The Argentine government has announced changes to pension payments, requiring beneficiaries to maintain residency. Pension amounts will increase by 2.7%, aligned with inflation. The new rules aim to ensure proper fund management and benefit distribution.

Changes in ANSES Pension Payments

The Government of Argentina implemented a requirement for pension collection through Resolution 918/2024. It is established that holders of Disability Pensions (PnC) who are absent for more than 90 days from the country will lose their right to collect. The Mobility Law increased the beneficiaries' payments by 2.7% to match the inflation of December.

"Once the noncompliance with the residence requirement is verified, the benefit will be suspended," explains the official text. It is also mentioned that pensioners can request the reactivation of the benefit if they prove they have returned to reside in Argentina.

In case of suspension of the benefit, a reconsideration resource can be requested from the National Disability Agency (ANDIS) through a personal appointment at the offices of the National Social Security Administration (ANSES).

The agency will use the database of the National Migration Directorate to verify compliance with the residence requirement. The amounts of the pensions have been adjusted as follows:

- Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM): $218,479 with a 2.7% increase and $288,479 with a bonus of $70,000 - PnC for Disability and Old Age: $191,160 with a 2.7% increase and $261,160 with a bonus - Mother of 7 Children Pension: $263,843 with a 2.7% increase and $333,843 with a bonus

ANSES has published the payment calendar for retirees and pensioners in February, dividing the payments according to the ending of the ID number:

- Pensions and retirements that do not exceed a minimum amount - Pensions and retirements that exceed a minimum amount - Non-Contributory Pensions

The objective of this measure is to control the use of public funds and ensure the correct liquidation of pensions to their beneficiaries.
