
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec), in November, the salary index experienced a 3.8% increase compared to the previous month. This increase was mainly driven by a significant rise in the private sector. Compared to the same month last year, salaries increased by 159.1%. In terms of accumulated evolution, the index recorded a 138% increase since December 2023.
Specifically, the monthly growth came from increases of 3.3% in the registered private sector, 2.7% in the public sector, and 8.1% in the unregistered private sector. In the year-on-year comparison, the salary index showed a 159.1% increase, reflecting increases of 167.4% in the registered private sector, 127.4% in the public sector, and 198.9% in the unregistered private sector.
Analyzing the period up to November 2024, the salary index accumulated a 138% increase compared to December of the previous year. This variation was due to rises of 140.8% in the registered private sector, 115.6% in the public sector, and 177.7% in the unregistered private sector.
