The film "Puan," written and directed by María Alché and Benjamín Naishtat, won seven awards at the ceremony, including Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actress, Best Direction, among other honors. The film, starring Leonardo Sbaraglia, was the center of attention during the gala and received the award for Best Film.
Manetti took the opportunity to discuss the current situation of university professors, indicating that the vast majority earn salaries below the poverty line. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of university autonomy and the transformative impact that education has on students' lives.
The dean also shared his own experience as part of the first generation of university students in his family, underscoring the relevance of education in his personal and professional life. In a gesture of gratitude, Manetti recognized the filmmakers of "Puan" for choosing the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of UBA for the production of the film.
