Two criminals were arrested for being involved in at least four robberies against motorcyclists that took place on the national and provincial routes in the Campana and Zárate area. According to sources in the case, it is presumed that the detainees may be connected to a series of motorcycle vehicle thefts that occurred in recent weeks.
The first robbery, which took place on April 6 on Route 8, kilometer 98 in San Andrés de Giles, involved the theft of a motorcycle from an individual. The second case occurred on the same stretch of road, but a few kilometers earlier, where two people were stripped of their motorcycle and helmet, with the latter found during one of the operations.
Another robbery was committed in late April on Route 193, at the access to Zárate, where a man was robbed of his motorcycle. The last incident, also on Route 8, occurred when two friends fell victim to the theft of their motorcycles, managing to document the incident.
During the operation carried out by the DDI in Campana, the apprehension of the two individuals, identified as Antonio C. and Miqueas B., was achieved, and several items were confiscated, including a 9mm Browning pistol, a motorcycle that had been stolen in April, cell phones, and three helmets.
On social media, one of the victims shared their experience: "For a moment I was going straight to crash into them with my motorcycle, but when I saw they had a gun and pointed it at me, I dodged them, picked up my friend, and we left via the shoulder." The detainees have already been questioned in UFIyJ 7 and Guarantee Justice 1 of Zarate Campana.
