Police are intensively searching for a man accused of shooting the ex-girlfriend of his partner at a gas station in the city of Zárate. The crime occurred on Sunday night at a station located on Lavalle and Teodoro Fels in Zárate. At the moment the victim approached to pick up her daughter, who was returning from a trip with friends, an argument began. According to the local media outlet Infozc, a dispute broke out between her and her ex-girlfriend's current partner, who then pulled out a gun and fired six shots before fleeing. The victim was identified as Leonel Ezequiel Martínez, 33, who died minutes later at the Virgen del Carmen Hospital from gunshot wounds, according to the Argentine News Agency. It is known that the two men had a long-standing conflict, and there had been an argument days earlier, which may be associated with jealousy.
