Police Officer Injured in Wilde During Robbery Attempt

A police officer was injured in Wilde during a confrontation with armed robbers who attempted to steal his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital but is in stable condition.


Police Officer Injured in Wilde During Robbery Attempt

A police officer from the Buenos Aires Police was injured during a confrontation with four criminals in the town of Wilde. The incident occurred on Misiones Street at 1,200, when the officer was parking his car, a Peugeot 208, and was approached by the criminals who were traveling in a Toyota Etios with robbery intentions.

In the attempted robbery, an armed confrontation ensued in which the officer was injured in his right foot. Fortunately, he was taken to Eduardo Wilde Hospital and is out of danger. The 2nd Police Station of Quilmes intervened in the situation and is in communication with the corresponding Instruction Prosecutor's Office.

The injured officer stated: "It was a moment of great tension. I was parking my car when I was surprised by the criminals. I tried to resist and unfortunately received a shot in the foot. I thank my partners who intervened quickly and the medical services that attended to me promptly."
