Former footballer Claudio 'Yerbatero' González died on Wednesday due to a lung ailment in the city of Villa María, Córdoba province, where he had settled after ending his long sports career. The news was confirmed by the leadership of Talleres de Córdoba, one of the clubs where he played, through a post on their social networks: 'We regret to announce the death of Claudio 'Yerbatero' González. The club accompanies his family, friends, and loved ones in this difficult moment and sends its condolences upon the departure of a man who was a player of our institution.' González, 49, was originally from Posadas, the Misiones capital, where he began his career at Bartolomé Mitre before moving to Rosamonte de Apóstoles.
