Euro Meatpacking Plant Workers Continue Strike, Teachers Launch Solidarity Campaign

Workers at the Euro meatpacking plant, located in Villa Gobernador Gálvez, continue the occupation of the facility in protest against unpaid wages amid concerns over a possible corporate asset-stripping. The conflict involves an 'investment group' based in Buenos Aires, which has labor debts and has not provided concrete responses since the strike began on November 10. The situation affects about 160 workers who remain inside the plant to safeguard their jobs. The union organization confirmed that they will later distribute all the collected food to the Euro employees. In a gesture of support, teachers from the National University of Rosario, represented by COAD, have made their union headquarters available to receive food donations for the striking workers. 'To sustain the occupation and protest measures, the workers need the accompaniment and solidarity of everyone,' expressed the union teachers when announcing the initiative. The solidarity campaign began this Wednesday and will run until Tuesday, December 2, inclusive.
