Criminal Band 'The Thieves of the Atlantic Corridor' Arrested in Villa Gesell

A criminal gang nicknamed "The Thieves of the Atlantic Corridor" was dismantled in Villa Gesell after their operating method based on vehicle theft was discovered. It all started with an alert to 911 about a robbery in the central area of Villa Gesell, where witnesses pointed out the involvement of a dark car.

The victim reported the theft of a bag containing $250,000 and personal belongings after parking their car on Avenue 3. The Sub DDI of Villa Gesell initiated an investigation that allowed them to identify a Volkswagen Gol Trend car and locate the temporary residence of the criminals.

The Public Prosecutor's Office ordered a search of the house and the seizure of the vehicle, which was no longer at the location during the operation. To prevent the suspects' escape, a tracking software was activated that identified the route of the car towards Pinamar, Madariaga, and the La Huella Toll Booth in Conesa.

After coordinating with agents from other locations such as Dolores, Chascomús, and Lezama, a police operation was implemented at the Samborombón Toll Booth. The thieves were intercepted, and the stolen items were recovered, along with 200 grams of marijuana. It was revealed that the criminals also committed thefts in Brandsen, Chascomús, and Lezama.

Authorities detected that the gang had already committed thefts in Brandsen last April with the same vehicle. The Buenos Aires Province Police managed to arrest those involved and place them at the disposal of justice, putting an end to the activities of "The Thieves of the Atlantic Corridor."
